The karts can be controlled with power-ups and special attacks, and the game features 28 different racetracks and 2 arenas. The karts can be individually customized by the player by making a selection from an existing range of karts, with the designs being adapted to the characters.
The cast is made up of characters from numerous popular Nickelodeon shows, as well as guest characters from outside the playable roster. Players can put together a pit team consisting of a racer and a crew member, and compete against other teams.
